A reliable digital ecosystem depends on strong architectural decisions made early. Clear DXP foundations ensure scalability, security, and seamless integrations — reducing risk and creating a stable base for long-term platform growth.
Clarity and usability define whether a digital experience succeeds or fails. Thoughtfully designed interfaces reduce friction, guide users naturally, and balance aesthetics with performance and conversion goals.
Digital platforms don’t stand still — and neither should their performance. Ongoing optimization, monitoring, and proactive support keep systems stable, secure, and aligned with changing business needs.
Execution quality determines how well a platform performs under real-world conditions. Enterprise-grade development focuses on clean implementation, scalability, and performance — ensuring solutions are robust, maintainable, and ready to evolve.

Questions we get asked before a DXP project starts
Straight answers on platform choice, timelines and what a migration actually involves.
What is a Digital Experience Platform, and how is it different from a CMS?
A CMS manages content. A Digital Experience Platform (DXP) manages the whole customer experience on top of that content — personalisation, customer data, commerce, analytics and multi-channel delivery in one connected stack. Sitecore, Optimizely, Umbraco and Kentico all started as content management systems and have grown into DXPs to different degrees.
Sitecore XM Cloud or Optimizely — how do we choose?
Choose Sitecore XM Cloud when personalisation and customer data are central, you run many sites or markets from one platform, and you have the internal capacity for a composable stack. Choose Optimizely when experimentation and commerce sit at the centre and you want a more integrated suite out of the box. We are certified on both and will say plainly when neither is the right answer.
Would Umbraco be enough for us instead?
Often, yes. Umbraco is open source with no licence fee, and for a content-led site that does not need enterprise personalisation or customer-data tooling it delivers the same result for a fraction of the total cost. We build headless Umbraco on .NET regularly. The honest test is whether you will actually use the enterprise features you would be paying for.
How long does a DXP migration take?
For a single-site migration to XM Cloud or Optimizely, plan 12 to 20 weeks from discovery to launch. Multi-site or multi-market programmes run 4 to 6 months. The variable is rarely the platform — it is content modelling, integrations and how many stakeholders must sign off on each template.
What does a DXP implementation cost?
A focused single-site build typically lands between EUR 60,000 and EUR 150,000 in services, with enterprise multi-market programmes above that. Platform licensing is separate and paid to the vendor. We scope in phases so the first release is small enough to be a real decision point rather than a commitment to the whole programme.
What does Sitecore Silver Partner status actually mean?
It is Sitecore’s verification that a company holds current certified developers and architects and has delivered production Sitecore implementations. AHD Solutions is a Sitecore Silver Partner and an Optimizely partner, listed in the official Sitecore Partner Finder. In practice it means our team is certified on the platform rather than learning it on your project.
Can you take over a Sitecore or Umbraco build another agency started?
Yes — inherited platforms are a large part of our work. We start with a code and architecture review, document what is actually deployed against what was intended, and give you a written risk and remediation list before touching anything. You get the assessment whether or not you continue with us.
Should we go headless or stay with a traditional build?
Headless is worth it when you serve more than one front end, need front-end and content release cycles to move independently, or want your editors on a platform your developers are not tied to. It costs more to set up and needs a front-end team to maintain. For a single marketing site with no app, a traditional build is usually the cheaper honest answer.
What happens to our SEO during a replatform?
Rankings are lost in replatforms through unmapped URLs, dropped metadata and missing structured data — not through changing CMS. We map every live URL to its destination before launch, keep redirects permanent, carry canonical tags and schema across, and monitor Search Console coverage for the first weeks after go-live.
Do you work with clients outside Bulgaria?
Yes. We are based in Sofia and deliver across Europe and further afield — our work includes King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia. Teams work in English, in your time zone for core hours, and we are comfortable being the engineering arm alongside your own marketing or product team.
